“The essential point in science is not a complicated mathematical formalism or a ritualized experimentation. Rather the heart of science is a kind of shrewd honesty that springs from really wanting to know what the hell is going on!”
This statement by the physicist Saul-Paul Sirag sums up the mind set and method of our development manager Mr. Marko Schweighart.
There is broad consensus that innovation is the engine for the competitiveness of developed economies and, moreover, successful companies. At SAB, these innovations are based, if nothing else, on previous R&D activities and extensive simulations.
So-called CFD simulations serve as the basis for the new and further development of the often highly complex SAB machines and systems. For example, flow simulations of liquids and gases, or heat transfer and heat transfer calculations in very early project phases are used as the basis for many other considerations and concepts.
With it’s development manager, Dipl. Ing. Marko Schweighart, SAB has a person who communicates the results of these simulations and calculations to the design team in a simple and understandable way, so they can put them into practice in-house.
This know-how of providing simulation results in a high-quality manner is also a service we offer, which is heavily used by external companies.
When asked what the fuel was for his tireless joy in solving seemingly impossible challenges, Mr. Marko Schweighart said: “Innovation is not a guarantee against failure, but without innovation, failure is guaranteed!”.
