On March 19th 2019, we welcomed a high-ranking politician to our company location in Deutschlandsberg. The Styrian Governor Hermann Schützenhöfer personally came to gain insight into the complexity of robot automation and thermoprocessing systems developed by SAB.
With a regional research and development quota of 5.14 percent, Styria has been number one in Austria for many years, and is thus also at the forefront of Europe. As the father of Styria, Hermann Schützenhöfer has made a significant contribution towards increasing this percentage for years. Particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises with high export shares, in the case of SAB up to 85%, a constant focus on development and research is extremely important. As a global player like SAB, which is constantly facing new challenges in its international markets, the fact that it knows its domestic politics is a strong and reliable partner is a huge asset.
After years of hard and consistent work by all SAB employees, the words of praise from our Governor were more than a confirmation that the current path of SAB, from a local engineering company to an international high-tech company and innovation leader in the field of automation and thermal process technology, can be considered successful.
